Harrop Genius – Terms of Use

1. Information Collection

Harrop collects and stores information you provide when interacting with the Harrop Genius AI Assistant (“Harrop Genius”), including questions, prompts, feedback and interactions with suggested links or resources.
You can ask questions without providing any personal details. If you ask to be contacted, Harrop Genius collects your name, email address, optional phone number, and your message so that Harrop’s Sales Team can respond. If you request a transcript, it is emailed to the address you provide.
Please do not submit sensitive data, payment details, confidential information, or copyright-protected material that you are not authorised to share.
Any personal information you provide will be handled in accordance with Harrop’s Privacy Policy.

2. Use of Information

Information collected through Harrop Genius may be used to respond to your enquiries, understand customer needs, address feedback and concerns, provide technical support, and maintain and improve the functionality, accuracy, and performance of the assistant. Harrop staff may review past conversations for these purposes; they do not see your conversation while it is taking place.
Harrop may also use interaction data to identify common enquiries and improve the information and resources available to customers.

3. Data Security, Processing and Retention

Harrop takes reasonable steps to protect information collected through Harrop Genius. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Harrop Genius is hosted in Australia. The artificial intelligence services that generate responses are provided by third parties (Anthropic, OpenAI and Cohere) whose systems process the text of your questions outside Australia. Under Harrop’s agreements with these providers, your conversations are not used to train their models.
Card and phone numbers are removed from conversation logs automatically as they are stored. Conversation text is removed after 180 days, and usage statistics after 12 months, subject to applicable legal requirements. 4. AI-Generated Information

Harrop Genius uses artificial intelligence to generate responses based on available information. While we aim to provide helpful and accurate answers, responses may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate.
Harrop Genius responses are provided for general informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as a substitute for confirmation from Harrop’s Sales or Technical Support teams, official product documentation, or an authorised Harrop dealer.
Harrop does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or suitability of information provided by the assistant.

5. Pricing and Availability

Prices quoted by Harrop Genius are taken from harrop.com.au and show the date they were last checked. They are indicative only and do not constitute a formal quotation, offer or commitment by Harrop. Harrop Genius does not have access to stock availability, delivery information, or current promotions.

6. Product Information and Fitment

Information provided by Harrop Genius about product specifications, compatibility, vehicle fitment, performance, suitability, installation, and intended use is general in nature and may be incomplete or inaccurate.
Responses from Harrop Genius do not constitute confirmed fitment advice, engineering advice or approval for a particular vehicle, application, or intended use.
Vehicle configurations, modifications, model years and other factors may affect product compatibility and performance. Customers should independently verify all relevant specifications and compatibility requirements with Harrop’s Sales or Technical Support teams or an authorised Harrop dealer before purchasing, installing, or using a product.
Always follow the applicable product instructions, installation requirements, and safety recommendations.

7. Fair Use and Availability

Please use Harrop Genius for genuine enquiries about Harrop products. Do not use it to send abusive or unlawful content, to probe or disrupt the service, or to extract content in bulk. Harrop limits the number of messages that can be sent in a given period and may block misuse.

8. Limitation of Reliance

You use Harrop Genius at your own discretion. To the extent permitted by law, Harrop excludes liability for loss or damage arising from reliance on information provided by the assistant, including information that is inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified under applicable Australian law.
