The Brian Tooley Racing (BTR) Platinum Spring Kit is designed to deliver unparalleled valve control and durability across the full spectrum of LS engine builds. Whether assembling a mild daily driver, a 600 hp naturally aspirated stroker, or a 1,000 hp forced induction powerhouse, this kit ensures valves follow your camshaft precisely under all conditions. Compatible with both stock rocker arms and upgraded BTR rockers, it is a true drop-in solution for LS heads with stock powdered metal guides.

BTR’s Platinum Spring Kit includes their innovative Tip Saver Kit to protect worn valve tips, helping prevent costly repairs that require cylinder head removal. The kit provides all components needed for a complete installation:

Kit Contents:

• SP001-1: 0.660" lift dual polished springs (qty 16)

• VL78MMBL-.075-16: Locks (qty 16 pairs)

• SR006-16: Titanium retainer kit

• SL505060-16: Locator kit for 0.505" ID stock powdered metal guides, 0.060" thick

• VS LS KIT: Valve seal kit

• SS015-16: Shims for stock guides, 0.015" thick (bag of 16)

• 19302366: Valve tip lash caps (2 bags of 8)

Spring Specs:

• 155 lbs @ 1.780"

• 380 lbs @ 1.180"

• 400 lbs @ 1.130"

• Coil bind @ 1.070"

Due to the design of OEM scroll-type rocker arms, higher lift cams and increased spring pressures can accelerate valve tip and rocker arm pad wear. BTR’s Valve Tip Saver Kit uses newly designed locks (and retainers in certain applications) along with GM lash caps to help protect valve tips, minimizing costly maintenance.

Important Notes:

• Excessive rocker arm pad wear must be addressed prior to installation.

• Pushrod length must be verified when using lash caps to ensure correct lifter preload.
