The Harrop front brake kit represents a much needed upgrade to the E46 M3 braking performance for street and track conditions. 

The 2-piece bobbin drive system utilised in the front rotors is the same system that is used in Motorsport applications to handle the heat differential between the cast iron rotors and aluminium adapters (hats). The staggered slot pattern increases braking performance and providers a firmer pedal feel under heavy braking conditions.

The rotor and caliper design pushes the boundaries of extreme braking to achieve world class performance with independently tested 100-0 km/h stopping distances less than 35m. The kit provides the ultimate in performance while maintaining perfect braking balance under all driving conditions.

Front Calipers: 4 Piston calipers with internal bridge pipe, available in red only.
Front Rotors: 345mm x 28mm 2-Piece, 48 vane directional slotted rotors, light weight aluminium hat with full floating bobbin drive

This kit comes with stainless steel braided brake lines & Bendix pads

Why do I need to Upgrade?
  • If you have fitted a wheel/tyre package that has an effective diameter greater than standard, the brake effectiveness is reduced, the force required on the rotor to slow the car increases by approximately 8% per 50 mm increase in effective tyre diameter. This means the driver needs to push harder on the pedal to stop, and results in increased rotor and pad wear.
  • ABS, ESC/DSC or EBD can't help you under brake fade conditions, the OEM brake systems are designed exclusively for road use and tested to comply with ADR 31/01*
  • if you use your car for any track work, you'll be driving at much higher speeds with much less recovery time and braking many more times than the ADR test. The OEM brake system just isn't required or designed to cope with this.
  • If your vehicle has increased power and torque due to other modifications such as a Harrop supercharger, camshaft, intake and or exhaust upgrades; The faster you can accelerate, the less time you will have to decelerate.

  • We recommend you check clearance with your wheels using the caliper sweep template which is available in the download tabs above.
  • Stainless steel braided brake lines are included as part of the kit.
  • Please note that the installation of aftermarket braking components may cause additional brake noises from your vehicle, which can be a characteristic trade off when fitting a performance brake system or components. Whilst this noise typically originates from the braking components, many external factors like driving application, conditions, and vehicle components such as suspension and chassis can amplify these brake noises. Whilst every effort is made to mitigate and reduce brake noise to the lowest level possible, any additional noise is classed as acceptable and does not substantiate a product fault.

*ADR 31/01 Prescribes a fade and recovery test, hot performance where the car is braked from a maximum of 120 to 60 km/h 15 times with 45 seconds between each brake application. The vehicle must then pass an ordinary performance test and achieve 75% of the initial cold test result.
